A Fresh New Chapter for Les Marins d’Eau Douce

A Fresh New Chapter for Les Marins d’Eau Douce

Some wines evolve naturally over time, and the newest release of Les Marins d’Eau Douce feels like a beautiful reflection of exactly that. Alongside its refreshed clear bottle design, the wine itself has also developed into a more layered and expressive blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Vermentino, bringing together freshness, texture, and Mediterranean character in a way that feels perfectly suited to the style of the wine.

Produced in Saint Frichoux under Mediterranean influence, the grapes are night harvested and cold fermented to preserve purity and aromatic clarity. The Sauvignon Blanc brings brightness and citrus freshness, Chardonnay adds softness and balance, while Vermentino introduces a subtle coastal salinity and elegance that ties the wine beautifully to its southern French origins.

The result is a white wine that still feels crisp, vibrant, and refreshing, but now with slightly more depth and roundness through the palate. It remains incredibly versatile at the table, pairing effortlessly with shellfish, grilled fish, fresh salads, asparagus, and young goat’s cheese, particularly during the warmer months.

The move into the new clear bottle also marks a natural progression for the wine visually. Lighter and more contemporary in feel, the bottle reflects the freshness and maritime inspiration behind Les Marins d’Eau Douce perfectly, allowing the pale golden colour of the wine to shine through naturally.

At its heart, this is still the same relaxed, elegant southern French white our customers return to year after year. Fresh, balanced, and quietly expressive, now entering a fresh new chapter with a blend that captures the character of the Languedoc beautifully.
