A Seasonal Sip: Introducing the Pumpkin Spice Spritz
As autumn settles in and cosy season begins, there’s no better way to toast the change in weather than with a cocktail that celebrates the flavours of the season. Enter the Pumpkin Spice Spritz—a refreshing, aromatic blend of fruit, spice, and gentle warmth, made with one of our favourite whites: Mercredi 12H30 Blanc.
This cocktail is effortless to make, built directly in the glass, and perfect for seasonal gatherings, Halloween hosting, or simply indulging in an autumnal evening at home.
Why Mercredi 12H30 Blanc Works So Well
The Mercredi 12H30 Blanc is a beautifully vibrant white wine with expressive notes of jasmine, quince, grapefruit, white peach, and a hint of almond. Its fresh, juicy character makes it the perfect base for a spritz-style cocktail and balances the deeper, spiced elements of the drink without overpowering them.
Pumpkin Spice Spritz Recipe
Build in the glass – no shaking, no fuss.
You’ll need:
-
100ml Mercredi 12H30 Blanc
-
25ml dark caramel rum (we used Kraken)
-
25ml pumpkin spice syrup or flavouring
-
Ginger ale to top up
-
Ice (optional)
How to make it:
-
Start with a large wine glass.
-
Add ice if you’d like it chilled—this part is completely optional.
-
Pour in 100ml of Mercredi 12H30 Blanc.
-
Add 25ml of dark caramel rum – Kraken adds warmth and depth.
-
Follow with 25ml of pumpkin spice syrup for that classic autumn sweetness and spice.
-
Top with ginger ale to your preferred level, adding a gentle fizz and a crisp finish.
-
Give a light stir and garnish if you wish (an orange twist, cinnamon stick, or star anise work beautifully).
